Bonding with Bonsai
Bonsai literally means ‘bon planted’ and it is the art of stunting the growth of plants by growing them in small containers. Though the term is used to cover the miniaturization of all plants, the Japanese use it only for certain plants but it is the umbrella term for all kinds of plants. Bonsai is believed to have originated in China from where the Japanese picked it up and today Bonsai is considered to be a Japanese art of cultivating plants. Today Bonsai has not only become an art form to decorate home it is literally turned into an industry with a lot of money at stake.
